Live wine classes are led by Corkbuzz Sommeliers and last 90 minutes. Class includes 6 (2 ounce) pours of wine, printed materials, and complimentary cheese. Guests will be seated at communal tables. Please refrain from wearing heavy fragrances to class. 

About This Class:

There’s much more to New Zealand than Lord of the Rings, tall mountains and Sauvignon Blanc. These two islands show an enormous diversity of grapes and styles, crafted by down to earth farmers and outdoor adventurers.

We’ll traverse the islands from north to south, stopping to learn about Chardonnay in Kumeu River, Merlot in Hawkes Bay, the great whites of Gisborne, Riesling in Nelson, Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough, Pinot Noir in Central Otago, and more. Along the way we’ll discuss history, appellations, wine law, grape varieties and favorite producers.

Instructor Amber spent most of February exploring the wine regions, and she can't wait to share the insight she learned while trekking through vineyards in her gumboots and tasting on patios in her jandals.
